In order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Studio Ghibli’s animated film << My Neighbor Totoro >>, Viz Media will release a novel and an updated version of the My Neighbor Totoro Picture Book, as it was announced on Thursday 28.

Kodansha Comics licensed the Sherlock Bones (Tanteiken Sherdock) manga, as revealed on an update on the Random House website. A pre-order also appeared on Amazon. The manga is written by author Ando Yuma and drawn by artist, Satou Yuuki. The manga runs in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine.

An anime adaptation of Ryu Mizunagi’s Witchcraft Works, a fantasy manga, has been green-lit, based on Kodansha’s good! Afternoon magazine.

Digital Manga Publishing announced the release of Rize Shinba’s Juicy Cider boys-love manga under their June imprint on Friday. The romantic comedy follows the studious “Taka-chan” and his childhood friend Ken. The one volume boys-love manga will be released early next year.

Yokusaru Shibata ( creator of Air Master )  announced on the ninth issue of Shueisha’s bimonthly Miracle Jump magazine start a new manga in the magazine’s 10th issue in August. The manga will be titled Misako.

Viz Media (manga publisher) announced at FanimeCon, that its weekly digital anthology Shonen Jump Alpha will add Bulge of the War Planet manga ( Sensei no Baruji – aka Barrage) from Kohei Horikoshi.

Shueisha’s Grand Jump magazine announced that  Basilisk manga artist Masaki Segawa will launch a remake of Go Nagai’s Cutey Honey in the next issue, on June 6.
