New historical Manga by Jiro Taniguchi

Manga creator Jiro Taniguchi stated in an interview with Comic Natalie that he is in the planning process for a new manga project. Taniguchi says this unnamed new work will take place in Meiji era (September 8, 1868 – July 30, 1912) Tokyo. If the work is approved by Taniguchi’s editors, the author cautions it probably will not be published for two or three years because of his work pace. Taniguchi did not reveal character or plot details in the interview.

Other  Taniguchi’s works:

  • A Distant Neighborhood,
  • The Ice Wanderer,
  • Hare Yuku Sora,
  • and Quest for the Missing Girl.

Taniguchi has also illustrated manga stories written by separate authors.
