A TV anime based on Kagaku Manga Survival (Science Manga Survival), a series of educational colored comics, has been announced.
Kagaku Manga Survival originates from Korea, where it is published by I‐seum. Asahi Shimbun Publications began publishing the comics, which are also popular in countries like China and Thailand, in Japan in 2008. In 2011, it was reported that over 500,000 copies were in circulation in Japan; currently, that number is over 13 million.
An anime movie adaptation of the series’ Jintai no Survival (Survival of the Human Body) volumes was released in 2020. Another movie, Shinkai no Survival (Survival of the Deep Sea), followed in 2021. Both were produced by Toei Animation with Gallop.
