The Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest anime has received a main visual and a July 7 start date.
Three more cast members were also announced: Yumi Uchiyama as Kiria, Itaru Yamamoto as Madmole, and Kenji Hamada as Skullion.
Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest adapts the sequel to Hiro Mashima‘s Fairy Tail manga, which has story and layouts by Mashima and art by Atsuo Ueda. Kodansha USA describes the plot as:
Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Erza, and the whole Fairy Tail Guild are back in action! And they’ve decided to tackle the “100 Years Quest”—a job no one’s dared take on since the founding of the guild more than a century ago. A mysterious town, a baffling spirit, a ghastly new enemy…and a brand new continent to explore. When you’re with real friends, the adventures never stop!
The original Fairy Tail manga ran from 2006 to 2017. Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest began in 2018 and has 17 tankoubon volumes as of April 2024. Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest is serialized on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket.
Fairy Tail inspired a three season anime with over 300 episodes in total as well as two anime movies. A-1 Pictures co-produced those previous seasons with Satelight (Season 1), Bridge (Season 2 and 3), and Cloverworks (Season 3).
