A new key visual and PV trailer have been revealed for the upcoming Goodbye, Dragon Life TV anime series, which is scheduled to premiere in Japan in October 2024.
The trailer also reveals two additional voice cast members, which include Ayaka Ohashi as Christina and Akane Matsunaga as Airi.
They join lead cast members Shunsuke Takeuchi as Doran and Hitomi Sekine as Serina.
Kenichi Nishida (Papuwa) is directing the anime series, with Naokatsu Tsuda (Tokyo 24th Ward director) as series screenwriter and Nozomi Kawashige (Battle in 5 Seconds After Meeting Episode 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 12 sub-character designer) as main character designer. SynergySP and Vega Entertainment are co-producing.
The light novel series is written by Hiroaki Nagashima and illustrated by Kisuke Ichimaru, and was first published by AlphaPolis on April 8, 2015. Twenty-four volumes have been released as of March 2024. The series began as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou, which has been running since January 20, 2013.
The light novels also inspired a manga adaptation by Kurono that has been serialized on AlphaPolis’ manga website since December 22, 2015. Twelve tankobon volumes have been released as of March 2024.

After living a long life as the strongest and oldest dragon, he is slain by a human hero. He awakes to find himself reborn as a human, Dolan, in a remote village.
