Kanna Hirayama, the character designer, animation director, and animator who is perhaps best known for her character designs for Rent-A-Girlfriend and OSHI NO KO, recently drew an illustration of VSPO! VTuber Komori Met for the latter’s cover song video of “RAINBOW GIRL.” The illustration depicts a school uniform-clad Met leaning on a desk with a cat smile on her face.
The cover was uploaded on May 30 JST following Met’s fourth anniversary livestream.
In addition to Met’s “RAINBOW GIRL” cover video, Hirayama’s name also recently appeared in the credits of the music video for “HajimarinoMahou-charm,” an original song from hololive production‘s Magical Girl holoWitches! multimedia project. For that video, Hirayama is listed as mini character designer and as an animation director.
Met debuted in 2020 under 774 inc.‘s now-defunct VApArt group and was transferred to VSPO! (Virtual eSports Project) in February 2023. Her English VSPO! profile describes her as “something of a recluse” and someone with “a first-class aptitude for many FPS games.”
Outside of gaming, Met has a series of Sunday morning chat streams called NichiAsa (an abbreviation of the Japanese words for “Sunday” and “morning”).
